Baked macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- shredded sharp cheese - 2 c
- cooked elbow macaroni - 8 oz
How to make baked macaroni and cheese:
Preheat oven to 375°. In saucepan mix butter, cornstarch, salt and mustard. Stir until smooth. Add milk, bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from stove and stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese, stir until melted. Combine all ingredients in 2-quart casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
