Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- water - 9 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- clove garlic - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- barley - 1/4 c
- split peas - 1/4 c
- beef bouillon granules - 2 tsp
- lentils - 1/4 c
- small shell macaroni - 1/2 c
- celery stalks, chopped - 4 item
- head shredded cabbage - 1/2 item
How to make minestrone soup:
Chop the onion, garlic and celery. Cook in oil until tender. Set aside. Boil the lentils, split peas and barley. Cook 15 minutes. Add onion, garlic and celery. Add tomato sauce. Mix vegetables and seasonings. Cook 15 minutes. Add macaroni and cabbage. Cook until tender.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Soups & stews, Italian.
