Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water
- oil - 1/3 c
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- basil - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
- stalks celery, sliced - 2 item
- carrots, sliced - 2 item
- lentils - 2 c
How to make lentil stew:
Place first 5 ingredients in large kettle; bring to boil. Saute onion, mushrooms and basil in oil. Add to other ingredients. Cook until vegetables are tender. This stew tastes like it has meat in it.Recipe categories: Main dish, Stew, Brown rice.
