  • flour - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1/4 c
  • yellow corn meal - 1 c
  • cream-style corn - 1 c
  • small hot pepper, minced optional - 1 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Mix dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs. Add milk and oil. Fold in other ingredients. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
