Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- soda - 1 tsp
- grated cheese - 1 c
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- bacon drippings - 1/2 item
- corn meal - 2 c
- sweet milk
- can green chili peppers, chopped fine - 1 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix together meal, salt, soda, milk, corn, cheese and peppers. Pour hot bacon grease in bottom of pan. Pour batter into pan (iron skillet is best). Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
