Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- cornmeal - 1 c
- can corn - 1 item
- Arm and Hammer soda - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- hamburger - 1 lb
- medium onion - 1 item
- to 4 jalapenos, sliced - 3 item
- slices cheese - 6 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix first 6 ingredients. Brown hamburger and onion. Place cheese over hamburger, onion and jalapenos. Pour 1/2 meal mixture into deep skillet. Then put hamburger mixture on top of meal mixture. Layer cheese on top. Pour the rest of meal mixture into skillet. Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
