Monkey bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- 1/2 sticks butter or margarine - 1 item
- cans buttermilk refrigerator biscuits - 4 oz
How to make monkey bread:
Combine and melt over low heat the 1 cup sugar and 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine. In a Ziploc bag, mix 2/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.It is easier to take only 1 can of biscuits out of the refrigerator at a time. Spray 10-inch tube pan with Pam. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Place about 6 to 8 biscuit pieces at a time into Ziploc bag and shake until coated with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Stack biscuit pieces into prepared 10-inch tube pan. After 2 cans of the biscuits have been used, pour half of the melted sugar and butter mixture over them. Repeat with remaining 2 cans of biscuits. Pour remaining melted sugar and butter mixture on top. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
