  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can cream-style corn - 1 oz
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
  • yellow corn meal - 1 c
  • bacon drippings - 1/2 c
  • ground beef optional - 1 lb
  • jalapeno peppers, chopped - 4 item

How to make mexican corn bread:

Mix corn meal, salt and soda. Add milk and stir. Then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Pour in bacon drippings and beat. Add remaining ingredients. Stir and bake in an iron skillet for 45 minutes at 350°.
