Ingredients/Components

  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chicken breasts - 4 item
  • red onion, sliced - 1 item
  • or 4 drops hot pepper sauce - 3 item
  • each: oil and wine vinegar
  • each: dried oregano and basil leaves - 1 tsp

How to make marinated chicken breasts:

Marinade:1/2 c. each: oil and wine vinegar1/2 c. finely chopped onion2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce1 tsp. each: dried oregano and basil leaves1/2 tsp. black pepper3 or 4 drops hot pepper sauce1 red onion, sliced Wash chicken breasts. Pat dry with paper towel. In glass or stainless steel bowl, combine marinade ingredients, mixing well. Add chicken, turning pieces to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning chicken 2 or 3 times.

Place chicken, skin side down, on rack in baking pan. Bake 20 minutes, basting occasionally, with the marinade. Turn. Bake 5 minutes longer or until chicken is tender, basting occasionally. Place on serving platter. Cover with the onion and serve.
