Manhattan clam chowder
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 2
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 6 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- onions, chopped
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- thyme - 1 tsp
- celery - 1 c
- potatoes, diced - 2 c
- carrots, cubed
- strips bacon whole - 5 item
- small cans clams and juice - 4 item
How to make manhattan clam chowder:
Cook bacon (leave whole). Saute onions in drippings. Add rest of ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender. Add clams. Heat thoroughly. Remove bacon and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
