Manhattan clam chowder
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 1 qt
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- dash of Tabasco - 1 item
- finely diced celery - 1 c
- diced potatoes - 2 c
- minced onions - 1 c
- slices bacon, diced - 6 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- carrots, finely diced - 1 c
- cans minced clams and juice - 3 item
How to make manhattan clam chowder:
Fry bacon and onions until slightly brown. Add water, salt, pepper and Tabasco. Bring to a boil. Add tomatoes and simmer 30 minutes. Add vegetables and clams. Simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
