Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • water - 1 qt
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • dash of Tabasco - 1 item
  • finely diced celery - 1 c
  • diced potatoes - 2 c
  • minced onions - 1 c
  • slices bacon, diced - 6 item
  • large can tomatoes - 1 item
  • carrots, finely diced - 1 c
  • cans minced clams and juice - 3 item

How to make manhattan clam chowder:

Fry bacon and onions until slightly brown. Add water, salt, pepper and Tabasco. Bring to a boil. Add tomatoes and simmer 30 minutes. Add vegetables and clams. Simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour.
