Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- parsley - 1 item
- chicken liver or any other liver you like - 1 lb
- to 5 rolls or bread - 4 item
How to make liver dumplings:
Grind the chicken livers. Soak the bread in water and then squeeze out the water.Saute the onion and parsley in 1/4 cup oil. Add the bread and cook a short time longer. Set aside.
With a spoon, mix the liver, eggs, flour, salt and pepper. Then add sauteed onion, parsley and bread mixture. Add bread crumbs to make dumplings into a soft dough, not too soft.
Bring to a boil a large pot of water and add a little salt. With a tablespoon, spoon liver dumpling mixture into the boiling water. Dumplings will be ready when they come to the surface of the water. You can use dumplings for chicken soup or melt a little butter to pour over them and use for a side dish.
