Lentil soup
Ingredients/Components
- water - 6 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- parsley flakes - 1 item
- can chicken broth - 1 oz
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- bacon, crumbled - 1 item
- lentils - 1/2 lb
- slices turkey - 3 item
- diced kielbasa - 1/4 lb
How to make lentil soup:
Rinse lentils. Boil in 6 cups of water until tender. Drain. Rinse.Combine lentils with onion, garlic, tomatoes, carrots and chicken broth in large saucepan. Simmer about 45 minutes. Add salt, pepper and parsley to taste. Add turkey, bacon and kielbasa. Simmer gently 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6.
