- lard - 1 lb
- lean hamburger
- shredded cabbage
- diced potatoes - 3 4
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
How to make pasties:
Filling:1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean hamburger3 to 4 c. diced potatoes1 medium onion, sliced about 1 c. shredded cabbage Mix ingredients for dough and mix well. Chill for a couple of hours. This is enough dough for 12 pasties.Take a small ball of dough and roll out into a 6-inch circle on a well-floured board. (You will use a lot of flour.) Mix hamburger, potatoes, onion and cabbage together (all raw). Take a heaping cupful of meat mixture and put in center of dough circle. Fold over edges and crimp on one side with fork. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until golden brown.
