Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
  • lemon peel - 2 tsp
  • cup flour - 1/4 item
  • cup sugar - 1 item
  • beaten egg yolk - 3 item
  • cup lemon juice - 1/3 item
  • 1/2 cup milk scalded - 1 item

How to make lemon cups:

Combine sugar, flour, salad oil and salt. Add lemon peel and juice. Stir milk into egg yolks, add lemon mixture. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 8-5 oz. custard cups. Set cups in shallow pan. Pour hot water around them 1 inch deep. Bake at 325° for 40 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
