Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 5 Tbsp
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
- milk, scalded
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- well beaten egg yolks - 3 item
How to make lemon cups:
Combine sugar, flour, salt, and butter; add lemon juice and rind. Add to combined egg yolks and milk; mix well. Fold in whites and pour into greased custard cups. Bake in a pan of hot water in moderate oven (325°) for 45 minutes. Can be baked in greased shallow baking dish. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Lemon.
