Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- butter - 3/4 c
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- caramels - 1 bag
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- canned milk evaporated - 1/2 c
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake batter as directed on package. Put 1/2 of the batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with butter and milk. Pour over hot half-baked cake. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour rest of batter over caramels; bake at 350° for 20 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
