Jewish apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- unsifted all-purpose flour - 3 c
- sugar - 2 c
- oil Crisco, Wesson - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- orange or pineapple juice - 1/4 c
- vanilla
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- to 5 apples, cored, peeled and sliced - 4 item
- cinnamon and additional sugar - 1 item
How to make jewish apple cake:
Place first 7 ingredients into a bowl in order given. Beat until smooth. Place 1/3 of batter into a greased tube pan. Arrange apple slices on top of batter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Repeat two more times. (Batter, apples, cinnamon and sugar.) Bake in a 325° oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
