  • eggs - 4 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • water - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • nuts - 1 c
  • lemons - 2 item
  • flour or cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • Filling:1 small coconut

How to make japanese fruit cake:

Filling:1 small coconut2 lemons1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. water2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch Mix all ingredients and pour into 2 layers. For other two layers, add in additional 1 cup nuts, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/3 teaspoon spice and 1/3 teaspoon cloves. Bake all layers at 350° for 20 minutes. Cool, then ice with filling between all 4 layers. Makes 4 layer cake.
