Ingredients/Components

  • butter - 1 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • sugar
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar
  • nuts - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp

How to make coffee cake:

Topping:1 c. brown sugar1 c. nuts1 tsp. cinnamon Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs. Combine liquid ingredients and add alternately with dry ingredients. Pour half of the batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle half of topping over batter. Pour remaining batter over filling, then remaining filling on top. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over all. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
