Japanese fruit cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- cloves - 1/2 Tbsp
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
- crushed pineapple - 3/4 c
- cornstarch or flour - 4 Tbsp
- nuts pecans and walnuts - 1/2 c
- Frosting:2 oranges juice
How to make japanese fruit cake:
Frosting:2 oranges (juice)2 c. sugar3/4 c. crushed pineapple4 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour Cream sugar and butter; add flour and milk alternately. Add slightly beaten eggs. Add cinnamon, allspice, cloves, raisins and nuts. Pour into cake pan that has been greased lightly and floured. Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes.For the frosting, mix juice, sugar, pineapple and cornstarch or flour. Cook all together until thick. Spread between layers and on top. Sprinkle with coconut.
