sugar - 2 c
cinnamon - 2 tsp
eggs - 2 item
salt - 1 tsp
baking soda - 4 tsp
shortening
molasses - 1/2 c
ginger - 1 tsp
sifted flour - 4 c
cloves - 1 tsp

How to make molasses cookies:

Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture and mix until smooth. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

Roll into balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
