Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 2/3 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- allspice - 3/4 tsp
- juice of 1 lemon
- chopped raisins - 2/3 c
- large can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- mace - 3/4 tsp
- Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time
How to make japanese fruit cake:
Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture, alternately with buttermilk and vanilla. Pour 1/4 of batter into 2 greased and floured (9-inch) pans. Stir nuts, raRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Christmas.
