Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- coconut
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- nuts - 1 c
- raisins - 1 c
- nuts, chopped - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- raisins, chopped - 1 c
- blackberry jam - 1 c
- Add well beaten eggs and spices
How to make jam cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten eggs and spices. Dissolve soda in water; add to mixture. Add flour, jam, raisins, coconut and vanilla; beat well. Bake in 2 large pans for 30 to 40 minutes in a 325° oven, or until done.Filling:1 c. sweet milk1 1/2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. flour1 c. raisins, chopped1 c. nuts, chopped1 1/2 c. coconut2 eggs Cook the first 3 ingredients until thick, then add the eggs, raisins, nuts and coconut.In memory of Grace South Claunch.
