Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- nutmeg - 2 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- nuts - 1 lb
- flour, sifted - 4 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- allspice - 2 tsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- white corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- jam 1 c - 2 c
- box white raisins - 1 item
- Add eggs
How to make jam cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add jam and dry ingredients with buttermilk. Add nuts and raisins lightly floured. Bake in layers or stem pan or small loaf pans at 350° for 40 minutes.Caramel Icing:2 c. sugar1 c. buttermilk2 sticks butter1 Tbsp. white corn syrup1 tsp. vanilla Stir together and cook until firm ball.
