Italian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- ground beef - 2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- parsley - 1 tsp
- tomato sauce - 16 oz
- minced garlic - 1 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- medium bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- to 15 saltines, crushed - 12 item
How to make italian meat loaf:
Combine beef, eggs, milk, onion, bell pepper, saltines, salt and pepper. Mix tomato sauce, basil, oregano, parsley and garlic. Pour 1/2 tomato sauce into meat mixture. Mix well. Mixture will be thin. Pour into meat loaf pan. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°; pour remaining sauce over meat and bake 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
