  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • paprika - 1 2
  • dry red wine - 1 c
  • marjoram - 1/4 tsp
  • large onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
  • beef, cut in 1-inch cubes - 2 lb

How to make hungarian goulash:

Saute onion in oil until tender. Add marjoram, salt and paprika. Add vinegar; mix well. Add meat and brown. Pour in wine; cover and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add water sparingly while cooking. Serve with noodles. Makes 6 servings.
