Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/3 c
- water
- oil - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- dry mustard
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder
- Worcestershire sauce - 3/4 c
- chili powder - 1/3 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- monosodium glutamate
- beef brisket - 5 6
- Tabasco - 1 tsp
- Rub meat well with mixture
How to make beef brisket:
Mix dry ingredients. Rub meat well with mixture. Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Brush with Mop Sauce. Bake 4 additional hours, mopping with sauce at least once per hour.Mop Sauce:1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme1 1/3 c. water3/4 c. Worcestershire sauce1/3 c. vinegar1/3 c. oil1 bay leaf1 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. Tabasco1/2 tsp. paprika After baking ham, stick with whole cloves. Place in heavy foil. Put syrup over all the ham and seal in the foil. No basting necessary.
