Hot fudge cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- whipped cream or ice cream optional - 1 item
- buttermilk baking mix - 1-1/2 c
- envelopes of unsweetened baking chocolate flavor - 2 oz
How to make hot fudge cake:
Prepare about 45 minutes before serving.Preheat oven to 350°. Into large bowl, measure chocolate flavor, buttermilk, baking mix, milk, vanilla and 2/3 cup sugar. With wire wisk, beat until smooth. Pour into a 12 x 8 baking dish.
In small bowl, mix cocoa and 1/3 cup sugar; sprinkle over batter. Carefully pour 1-1/2 cup boiling water over all. DO NOT STIR. Bake 25 minutes (batter will separate into cake and sauce layers after baking). Serve immediately or sauce will absorb. Top with whipped cream or ice cream. 12 servings.
