Heavenly sweet potato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- small jar maraschino cherries - 1 item
- sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed - 2 c
- coconut optional - 1/2 c
- Sauce:1 large can crushed pineapple
How to make heavenly sweet potato casserole:
Sauce:1 large can crushed pineapple1 small jar maraschino cherries1 c. sugar3 Tbsp. cornstarch Mix together potatoes, sugar, egg, milk, vanilla, salt and coconut (optional). Put in greased baking dish and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Mix ingredients for sauce together and cook 2 minutes. Spread over potato mixture.Recipe categories: Side dish, Main dish, Casseroles.
