Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 heaping
- flour - 1 item
- butter - 1 tsp
- cornstarch
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 2 tsp
- Crisco
- Add egg
How to make cottage pudding cake:
Mix sugar and Crisco. Add egg. Sift together about 1/2 cup flour with baking soda, baking powder and nutmeg. Add alternately with milk. Add more flour until batter is heavy enough to stand in peaks. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake 35 to 40 minRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
