Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 2 3
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- Swiss cheese, shredded - 1/2 lb
- large white onions - 2 item
- or more slices French bread, buttered on both sides - 10 item
- fresh mushrooms or 2 small cans - 1/2 lb
How to make heavenly onions:
Saute onions and mushrooms in butter. Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan. Prepare layers: mushrooms and onions, shredded Swiss cheese and French bread. Mix soup, milk and soy sauce. Pour over all. Make a day ahead and refrigerate. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, uncovered.Recipe categories: Side dish, Mushroom, Onions.
