Heavenly onion casserole
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- shredded Swiss cheese - 1 c
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 8 oz
- can condensed milk - 1 oz
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- medium sweet onions, sliced - 3 item
- to 8 slices Swiss cheese - 6 item
- to 8 slices French bread 1/2 inch thick - 6 item
How to make heavenly onion casserole:
Saute onions and mushrooms in butter until tender. Place in 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Combine milk, soup and soy sauce and pour over cheese. Top with bread and cheese slices. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Bake loosely covered at 375° for 30 minutes.
