  • tomatoes, chopped - 1 can
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • dry navy beans - 3 c
  • diced cooked ham - 1 hock
  • chicken broth in can - 2 c

How to make hearty bean soup:

Combine all ingredients and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are tender. Add more chicken broth and water if needed.
