Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- 1 oz - 1 pkg
- pepper - 1 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- can chopped green chilies - 3 4
- taco seasoning - 1 pkg
- stewed tomatoes - 3 cans
- pinto beans, rinsed and drained - 1 can
- kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 1 can
- , drained - 1 can
- lima beans, rinsed and drained - 1 can
- tortilla chips optional - 1 item
How to make taco soup:
In a large kettle, brown beef and onion. Drain fat. Add rest of ingredients except cheese and chips. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Top with cheese. Serve with chips. Yield: 10 servings.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, Ground beef.
