Hawaiian chicken
Ingredients/Components
- salad oil - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chicken broth
- coarsely chopped onion - 1 c
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- sliced celery - 2 c
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- syrup - 1 can
- coarsely chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- uncooked chicken
How to make hawaiian chicken:
Stir uncooked rice in 1 tablespoon salad oil until brown. Put into 2-quart casserole dish and stir in chicken broth. Bake, covered, for 1 hour at 350°. Cook chicken in small strips in 2 tablespoons salad oil until chicken is white. Add sliced celery and coarsely chopped onion, along with coarsely chopped green pepper and soy sauce. Heat pineapple syrup and dissolve bouillon cube. Add to chicken and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix into rice and heat thoroughly.
