Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 4 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cornstarch
  • vinegar - 4 tsp
  • salad oil - 1 item
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • chicken broth - 2 c
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • can Chinese vegetables - 1 oz
  • to 6 well beaten eggs - 4 item
  • chunked and cooked chicken, pork, shrimp or any combination - 1 c

How to make egg foo yong:

Sauce:4 tsp. cornstarch4 tsp. sugar3 Tbsp. soy sauce4 tsp. vinegar2 c. chicken broth Sauce: Combine first 4 ingredients in pan. Stir in broth and heat on low until thick.

Combine all ingredients except oil. Heat thin layer of oil in skillet as needed. Pour approximately 1/4 cup mixture into pan and fry similar to a pancake, turning once. Cook until set and lightly browned. Serve over rice with sauce.
