Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 lb
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • melted margarine - 1/4 c
  • carton sour cream - 1 item
  • pepper - 1/4 1/2
  • grated cheese - 2 c
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stick melted oleo - 1 item
  • small green pepper, chopped optional - 1 item
  • cornflakes
  • can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup you may use both - 1 item

How to make hash brown casserole:

Topping:2 c. cornflakes1/4 c. melted margarine Put potatoes in a large bowl and thaw to separate. Mix remaining ingredients and put into a large casserole dish. Spread cornflake topping over the casserole. Bake one hour at 325° to 350° or until potatoes are bubbly and done.
