Ingredients/Components
- onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- diced potatoes - 3 c
- salt and pepper to suit taste - 1 item
- chopped canned meat your choice - 1/2 c
- fat from meat can - 2 Tbsp
- broth, milk or water - 1 c
How to make hash:
Cook onion slowly in fat for about 5 minutes. Add potatoes, meat, salt, pepper and broth. Continue cooking until potatoes are done. If necessary, add extra liquid to keep mixture from burning. Stir occasionally.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, One Dish meal.
