- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- cooked beets - 3 c
- beet liquid - 1/3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Combine cornstarch, sugar, vinegar and salt; mix well. Slowly stir in beet liquid; blend to smooth mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sauce is clear and thick. Add butter and beets and mix well.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
