- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- beets - 1 pt
- beet liquid - 2 Tbsp
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add vinegar and beet liquid. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and clear. Add beets and butter. Heat. Yields 4 servings.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
