Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- sliced beets, cooked - 3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar and cornstarch in pan. Add water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring. Add beets and onion. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in butter until melted. Serves 6.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
