Ham and noodle casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- ground ham - 2 c
How to make ham and noodle casserole:
Saute onion in 3 tablespoons butter until tender, but not browned. Stir in flour. Add milk; cook until mixture bubbles, stirring constantly. Season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Place layer of noodles in buttered baking dish; cover with ham and sauce. Repeat layers. Mix bread crumbs with remaining butter. Cook over medium heat until crisp. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Yields 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Casseroles, Oven.
