Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • bread crumbs
  • macaroni - 1 c
  • medium apples, sliced - 2 item
  • cubed ham - 2 c

How to make ham and macaroni casserole:

Cook macaroni and drain. In saucepan melt 1/4 cup butter, blend flour, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Add milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in macaroni, ham and apple slices. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, add bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35 minutes, or microwave at full power for 5 minutes.
