Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- mustard - 2 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- bread crumbs
- macaroni - 1 c
- medium apples, sliced - 2 item
- cubed ham - 2 c
How to make ham and macaroni casserole:
Cook macaroni and drain. In saucepan melt 1/4 cup butter, blend flour, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Add milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in macaroni, ham and apple slices. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, add bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35 minutes, or microwave at full power for 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
