Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- cornmeal - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chili powder
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- ground cumin - 1/4 tsp
- beef bouillon - 2 tsp
- can green chilies, chopped and drained - 1 oz
- Cornmeal Crust - 1 item
- Prepare Cornmeal Crust
How to make taco pie:
Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare Cornmeal Crust. In large skillet, brown meat with onion; pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, chilies, bouillon, chili powder and cumin; cook and stir until bouillon dissolves. Remove from heat; stir in egg. Spoon into prepared crust. Bake 25 minutes or until hot. Let stand 5 minutes. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.Cornmeal Crust:1 c. biscuit baking mix3 Tbsp. cornmeal3 Tbsp. margarine, melted2 Tbsp. water Combine and mix well.
