Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 2 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • dry mustard - 3/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • parsley flakes - 1 tsp
  • shredded American cheese
  • dry bread crumbs - 3 Tbsp
  • diced cooked ham - 2 c
  • jar sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
  • salt, if desired - 1 tsp

How to make ham and macaroni bake:

Prepare macaroni by package directions; drain and set aside. Heat oven to 350°. In large saucepan melt margarine. Stir in flour, salt, parsley, dry mustard and pepper. Blend in milk, stirring constantly until bubbly and thickened somewhat. Add cheese; stir until melted. Add macaroni, ham, asparagus and mushrooms. Mix well. Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
