Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1 item
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- chopped onions - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1 item
- chopped fresh garlic - 1/2 tsp
- ham, cut into small squares - 1/4 lb
- Mozzarella, cut into small squares - 1/4 lb
- box Pillsbury pie crusts ready to use - 1 item
How to make ham and cheese pie:
Heat oven to 375°. In large skillet, cook onions and peppers in butter or oil until tender. Stir in salt, pepper, oregano and fresh garlic. In large bowl, combine eggs, ham, cheese, onions and peppers.Place Pillsbury crust into a 9-inch pie pan, following directions from the Pillsbury box. Pour egg mixture into the crust. Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Suggestions: Try adding artichoke hearts, asparagus or black olives to the mixture.
