Greek chicken and rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- stalk celery - 1 item
- chicken breasts - 4 item
- uncooked long grain rice - 2 c
- bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- garlic cloves, finely minced - 2 item
- all-purpose Greek seasoning - 1 tsp
- cans water or chicken broth - 2 item
- canned tomatoes with green chiles Ro-Tel - 1/2 c
How to make greek chicken and rice:
Melt butter in large pan. Add chicken breasts mixed with Greek seasoning. Brown chicken breasts and simmer until hot. Place chicken in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and set aside. Using the same pan, saut?© bell pepper, celery, onion and garlic until tender, about 2 minutes. To this mixture, add rice and remaining ingredients. Mix together and pour evenly over chicken. Bake, covered, in a preheated oven at 400° for 45 minutes. Garnish and serve. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, White rice.
