Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • meat drippings - 3 Tbsp

How to make great gravy:

Blend meat drippings and cornstarch over low heat until it has a rich brown color, stirring constantly. Gradually add water, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Boil gently 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

For cream gravy, use milk or cream instead of water.
