  • butter or margarine, softened - 2 c
  • packed brown sugar
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • quick-cooking oats - 7 c
  • all-purpose flour
  • 5 oz
  • baking soda - 2 tsp

How to make grandma's oatmeal cookies:

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the oats, flour, dry pudding mix and the baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 7 dozen.
